What is a TULIP?
TULIP
(Tenant User’s Liability Insurance Program) is a low cost
insurance policy that protects both the facility user/renter
and the facility owner. The TULIP policy
is
purchased by
the user/renter
of the facility, who under contract,
permit or agreement, rents from the
facility
owner and/or operator of the facility. Coverage is available for
one off events or a series of small events (weekly meetings).
Coverage applies during set-up, event, and tear-down periods
when the facilities are rented and being used by the user, for
short-term periods of time.
The policy applies to claims arising out of bodily injury liability,
property damage liability, personal and advertising injury
liability, and litigation cost to defend against such claims
arising out of the use of the owner’s premises by external
facility users/renters.
Premium costs are based on the nature of the event,
duration of the event, the number of participants, the level of
risk of the event, any special requirements underwriting
requirements.
We currently have two TULIP policies available to meet your needs.
Sports Related TULIP
: Designed
specifically for one off sporting events such as tournaments,
clinics or camps.
Non-Sport TULIP:
Designed for a wide variety of special events
– from antique shows, to musicals, to meetings, to parades to
banquets or festivals – and many more..
